Editorial Standards

How the Franchise Hunt editorial team sources, verifies, and reviews the UK franchise opportunities listed in our directory.

Who reviews the listings

Every listing on Franchise Hunt is reviewed by the Franchise Hunt editorial team. The team is responsible for sourcing new franchise opportunities, verifying the published facts against the brand's official franchise materials, keeping investment figures and outlet counts up to date, and rejecting opportunities that fail our inclusion checks.

How listings are sourced

Inclusion criteria

A franchise must meet all of the following to appear in the live directory:

Review cadence

Aggregate statistics

The category pages publish first-party aggregate statistics (count of live brands, minimum, median and maximum investment, training and financing share, year range) computed directly from the live Franchise Hunt directory. These figures refresh hourly and are sourced as "Franchise Hunt directory" on each page.

Corrections

If you spot an error on any listing, blog, or comparison page (a wrong investment figure, an outlet count that is out of date, a mis-stated training or financing detail), please contact the editorial team via the contact page. We aim to review correction requests within five working days and to amend or remove disputed claims promptly.

Independence and commercial relationships

Inclusion in the Franchise Hunt directory is editorial. Brands cannot pay to be listed and cannot pay to alter the published facts on their listing. Featured brands and Franchise of the Month placements, where commercial, are labelled. Enquiry forms route prospective franchisees directly to the franchisor.
